I'm sure David Kerin would be the first to say it: It's a blast to see how people render those models. I'm glad you found the site. Between 3DGladiators.com, BattlestarPegasus.com and other sites, BSG models/meshes deserve some special attention. And with the sites working together, those meshes ought to be available for some time to come. I'm really looking forward to seeing new ships; better detailed meshes; and recreations of existing models in other formats, too, when people have the time and interest.

Now, if only we could pull together some CGI "diorama kits" of the battlestar flight decks, hangar bays, etc. for people to create scenes... I can dream for right now, can't I? heheh

If you (and other BSG artists) get to a point where you want your artwork hosted within BattlestarPegasus.com's Gallery section, just let me know. :)

Going back to your image: I *really* like the sunlight in the picture. Tres cool.

Well Michael your wish is my command. I started this a while back but never completed the sections. They lack textures and a bit more details. What i had envisioned when i started was a small interactive walk through. Nothing big just a walk down a corridor and say accessing my bridge. There you would get a chance to see the inside of the cgi bridge i had created. But anyways here's the corridor sections i started.

Raw talent taking center stage... :) Truly magnificient work, Don. We should definitely talk very soon.

Now, if I can figure out how to make high resolution clothing for Poser 4, we could add some Colonial Warriors to the scenes. (Darrell's past Poser work adds inspiration.) Lords, the ideas I have and would love to render. ;) Can we vote on a 26 hour day? 24 just doesn't cut it anymore for free time.

Michael, when the domain gets back to normal, you can DL the Warrior helmet(s) and the jackets off my Poser site.

I'll be all over it. Thank you.

It's funny: I used Poser v1.0 for business when it was first available, then recently bought Poser 4.0 to delve back into 3D digital character art. I still have a learning curve on v4.0; it has definitely changed much since the early days. It's good to be back, though. (And I'm sure Curious Labs and DAZ3D appreciates my recent investments in Poser models/figures. Whew - how everything adds up quickly...)

You hit the nail right on the head. Darrell and i had discussed this a long time ago that's why he developed the colonial warrior uniforms and helmet. You see with ALOT of work and i stress ALOT we could eventually continue the story ourselves. I mean we have the talent available why not use it. The biggest drawback is time but if we assemble enough people we could concievably do such a thing. I know it's far fetched but the FX is basically already set. And with the present situation with Galactica in limbo once again i can't think of a better time to try and do this. I got my head so far into my business at the moment it just will take a huge amount of time to pull this off.

Ya never know though

hehe

Ps, Michael if your interested in hosting poser models with in the lightwave interface let me know. Poser has the plugin called Poser Pro Pack that allows you to use poser scenes within lightwave. That way you can use Lightwaves powerful texturing and lighting to make poser models stand out and shine much better.
