Thought i would take a break from my End year inventory, anyone want to help?
Anyways Darrell's posting of BG stuff got me tweaked a bit, for the good that is. Here's a couple shot's i did a while back. Me and the boys hashed out the lighting setup for about a week back and forth. I think we came pretty darn close to the original. Could use some adjusting but good none the less. Here ya go! All meshes by me :)

I LIKE IT! The only thing I see that would improve it is a bit more particle/combustion stuff for the turbo exhaust! :)

Don: Unleash more of those pics! They're phenomenal. My only complaint would be the lack of the darker gray around the Viper's nose cone area. (The launch tube colors were really well-executed. I esp. liked your attention to detail there.)

Anything specific to point out? You're entitled to bragging rights. ;)

Nope! But i will now for sure!!! Have you seen some of your concept stuff popping up here now?? Take a look at some of the BG threads we started making thanks to Darrell. Your drawings live! Hehe.

Thanks Michael and yes, hehe, i made the picture with the *wrong* viper mesh! DOH! I have the retextured unit with the grey stripe that goes around the front of the nose. Oops!
Anyways take a look at the Land Ram thread here and see what you think of them.
:)
Ps, by the way. I'm sure you know how they launched these things right? I spent a week trying to figure out how the viper *sat* on the rails. THIS is where the DVD really shows it's colors. Although the DVD sucks for BG it showed the glaring weakness of effects from that day. You see the Vipers actually *sat* on a trolley that i guess was not supposed to be seen. I almost modeled the trolley and realized that it was not possible to launch a viper that way. What a mess. The detailing could be much more but that's for another day.

You are so right Don. The meshes I did were all from Todd's Concept dwgs, he is a master at visualizing concepts. I have a couple more meshes that I did from his concepts I will post this weekend. Thanks Todd

Yea, the ships are looking great! I need to get back to working on more designs, I have to keep you guys busy! :D
Good job Steve!

Well, the shots in the trailer aren't really much to brag about, the coolest shots were cut so short you couldn't see much of anything.
I'm mostly working on the webs though there were a few shots that I did other things in the trailer. Lets see...(trying to remember which shots are in the trailer)...S-M swinging up to building and sticking (web), S-M swinging over police car (web), S-M swinging through city (web), S-M swinging with MJ (web), S-M swinging away from MJ in the distance (web), S-M swinging into burning building (web), Missile that fires from glider at camera, missile that blowing up thingie, some debris as glider crashes into big window, I think there were one or two shots of flames/heatripples from GG's glider, I can't remember what other shots were in there.
Like I said, most of the shots were cut too short to really see much though. You kind of get the idea of the dynamics that are on the webs in the close-up shots but none of the ones in the trailer are mine. :(
