So I take my daughter home from daycare today and she proudly says "F**K!". I tell her that that is not a nice word. She tells me it is a happy word. I mentally tell myself she has a point depending on the context, then I spend the day reprogramming her to shout "FUN!". So, do I balme daycare or can I somehow pin this on Bonnie Hammer.....?

Blame, not balme.

I'm fairly certain that somehow, someway, all of the world's evils can be traced back to Bonnie Hammer.

Time to bring out the cuss jar. Every time she cusses, she has to make a donation. :)

i know how you feel, my daughter today went around saying "witch.....bi_ch". we did not know what she was saying at first (shes 3), thought all she was saying was witch, since it is close to halloween.
all of this childhood curse language has to be the fault of bonnie hammer.
my niece told me today (she is 13) there was a sixth grade girl that got expelled for 3 years (she can never return to the school) at the football game the other day. i asked why and she said the girl was "getting high and having sex at the game". i remember back in the 6th grade the last thing on my mind was sex and drugs. we atleast made it into high school before that problem confronted us.
this world is really frelled up. needless to say i told her that she would not sit for a month if it had been her that got caught. my niece is like my child, i have been around her, her whole life. i told her i would put blisters on her butt and when those blisters went down, i would add more on top of those. it was sad though when she said how others were laughing at the girl, the guy got her stoned and took advantage of the situation.
kids cant be "kids" today, it is sad.

When I was in 6th grade my mind was on sex. I had no idea what to do about it, but my mind was on it. They do know more than we did and it all seems to mean less to them. Your story of kids being amused over the event is horrible. My parents raised me to respect women, not swear, say plewase and thank you, don't mug people and randomly kick peopole in the shin! Where are these values now...and before I get too serious...how did Bonnie do this?

bonnie promotes sexual overtures in programing aimed at children. this new mini will air here around 7pm. right in the middle of the family programing hours 6-9pm. just like the tobacco companys marketed their products towards children, the sci-fi channel pres. ms. (bi_ch) hammer markets towards kids. with her (bonnie hammer) brain dead programing, looks like shes starting the "tune in, drop out" era.
i am sure that their are more reasons to "blame bonnie", i am sure WW2 could be connected to her birth somehow. :)

On the homefront my wife and I are gearing up for the final word in November as to if my daughter will or will not require heart surgery. I am directing a play and working full time, and my wife turns 30 on Friday and I have to pull out all the stops to make her happy! Gee, any wonder why I have not been posting as often? With all that going on I am happy and thankful for my life :D.
Cheers!

Ooooo *Dawg winces*:/:
How old is your daughter? What's the problem? (If you don't mind my asking in a very public place). Easily correctable?
Is there some way we can blame Bonnie Hammer for it?
I have a nephew with a congenital heart defect - has to do with an opening between chambers that's not supposed to be there - but they're treating it with medication because these openings can close on their own, apparently. If he's still got the problem in a few more years surgery will be indicated. I understand this particular problem is not terribly uncommon.
He also has some gastrointestinal problems, apparently, but they're comparatively minor.
Keep us posted, OK?
So, your wife's turning 29 again, eh?
I remember the first couple of times I turned 29. But then I became a grandfather and turned 33. My wife and I have been 33 for over 13 years, now.
(Family joke.) :D
Anyway, do wish her a very happy birthday from me and mine, and probably about 2/3 of the people here, too.
And good luck on the play. Have we heard of it?
'Later!

The heart condition is the same as your nephews. It does not affect her developement in any way. SHe was diagnosed when she was barely an infant. It was of a rather significant size and it did not close as is common within the first year of life. They were going to operate when she was two, but the dars thing shunk from almost two centimeters to 5mm. It was decided to give it a little more time. If it is 3mm or less, no surgery will be needed. She does not have enough materail on one side to make the clamshell devise (A much less invasive procedure) a workable option so it would have to be old fashion crack the breatplate and go into the heart and suture it shut! Children's hospital in Chicago is a great hospital and they do these all the time. Still, as a first time parent, we worry and would rather not have to go through with it.
My wife gave me SUCH a hard time when I turned 30 and she is afraid of revenge, which is why I plan on being super duper sweet to her. If I sent a pic you would realize why at work I get teased for having the hot wife. She does NOT look her age!
The play is Bus Stop by william inge. This is my 2nd directorial attempt. I have produced and stage managed and acted and run house and lights and sound many productions in many different community theaters and it fun.

Be kind to her on her big 30. I remember turning that lovely number! Weird things begin to happen at this age.
This year I'm counting backwards I'll be 29 for the second time!:D

I will be ever so gentle to my sweetheart on her 30th. Why count backwards??? With age comes wonderful things. So what if we cannot run as fast or jump as high?
Nice to see you on a thread I am on. :)

Blame it on the DAY CARE and CALL THEM ON IT!
When some very CRUDE construction workers were using vile
language while working in my home .............. I called them on it
and asked them whether they would use that Language in front
of THEIR children as they were using it in front of mine.
And when my youngest daughter used that language in front
of her sister's preschool teacher ............I called the SUPERVISOR
of those construction workers and had a word with THEM again.
After of course I kept telling my youngest daughter that the
proper Prunciation was in fact "TRUCK" and not #*%^!
Mrs. Johnson lovvvvvvvvvvvved that one. :p
As parents we have a responsibility to teach them FAMILY
values and NOT HAMMER and MOORE values.
That's why my children are only allowed now to watch toon disney,
and assorted cartoons that I "review" before they everrrrrrrrr
watch them. And that's why they WILL be allowed to watch
the 'original' BSG but not the REMIMAGING!
