Dynamite Entertainment is bringing out a Galactica:1980 Comic Book series sometime in September. I hope Dynamite has learned their lesson about not insulting the original series fanbases. I have my doubts.

Isn't doing a Galactica 1980 comic instead of an Original Series book an insult? (I know there are fans of G:1980 out there and I intend no insult to you)

They have learned NOTHING! Leave the new series in their hands, but give the Classic Title to someone who will do somethign with it!!!!!

PaulGTweed, please fix your email. It's still bouncing.

I've heard what might be good things about this comic, though. We'll see.

Reaper, It occurred to me a Galactica:1980 comic book would be insulting to the Original series fans. Especially by some miracle, the Galactica:1980 comic book sales are better than the Cylon Apocalypse comics. If Dynamite had started their Classic BSG comics with Cylon Apocalypse instead of not listening to the BSG fans for a continuation after Hand of G-D episode.

This april, Dynamite is bringing out the Galactica:1980 Trade paperback. Collecting issues 1-4. The Galactica:1980 did something I didn't think possible. It made the TV series look better by comparison. If you look at the Sales charts for Dynamite's Battlestar Galactica comics line. They lose money for every issue they produce whether Classic or Re-Imagined.

:D This is true. First the good:

1) Good art
2) The concept that the colonials spoke a language close to Hebrew.

And now the bad:
1) Most of it.
2) Adama as much weaker than originally portrayed.
3) Troy as a irresponsible piece of felter carb.
4) Baltar calling Adama "Bill". Ohhh my.

Yeh there was a annoying tendency to mix TOS and re-imagined in this one. Baltar calling Adama "Bill"? Did they even have first names in the original series? Don't think so.

And so the Galactica gets nuked and blown to bits over Washington DC, and after Galactica and Earth join forces to defeat the Cylons, they take all the scrap and build a new Battlestar, that looks like the reimagined Galactica, only calling it the "Adama".

Yeh, I think I threw up a little.
