This article explains that there were only 12 battlestars. This is the first time I've actually seen that "officially" referenced anywhere.

always a problem .. ray243 its not enough to start the BS never mind keep it running :) there is a cool thread some where about the crew complament of a BS ,, I see if I can locate it again

Do we have any idea exactly who authored the Marvel articles? Or what there info source was?

I'm sorry, let me re-phrase the question. Do we know who the author was employed by? Marvel, United, ABC or even Apogee?
