View Full Version : Exodus CD#2 - Almost

I've been given a 4-5 week delay in my schedule, which was already pretty tight. I tried to work in enough Exodus editing time in the past week to finish CD#2 but sadly wasn't able to finish the last track prior to this delay. Consequently, I'll be unavailable until the latter part of Feb.

Track 1 of this CD is the same story element as the recently released Bonus track. I've remastered the cut (fixed a couple of sound levels and added a couple of sound effects). Track 2 gives a bit more background with the Cylons and explains why they hate humans and need to destroy them. Track 3 is where the actual story starts to pick up and IMO, is some of the best stuff Bill's done to date.

Yes, this is where many should say, "Sandy, you bastard! You mean to tell me that all of this so far was just the setup!" To which I would have to say, "Why yes it was". There was a specific reason Exodus began with heavy background and narrative and I didn't opt to start with Pythagorus on a whim. I believe listeners will forgive me for choosing this tactic as the story unfolds.

The three latest tracks can be downloaded from:

As always, I greatly welcome feedback, good and bad, as to what worked for you and what didn't.

Apologies to anyone who downloaded track CD02TRK03. The sound levels were off. The corrected version should be up now with the same file name. The difference is significant enough its worth downloading that track again.

I also blew it with the filenames. These should have been named EP01 not EP02 but since the links were already advertised as EP02, I'm leaving them that way for now.

Its been one of those weeks.

Some folks have said they have slow connections (and according to the AllGalactica.com stats 43% of you are trying to download from work ... shame on you guys!)

For those with slower internet connections, I've consolidated CD#1 and the partial CD#2 into zip files encoded at FM radio quality. When I played these back, I didn't hear a difference between them and the full CD quality.

The first CD is a 29MB zipped file here:

http://allgalactica.com/audio/Exodus-EP1CD01.zip

The partial 2nd CD is a 20MB zipped file here:

Enjoy

Sandy........Just noticed that the links on your website have gone wrong. All four parts of CD1 are part 1....according to the shortcuts....?

Please can you correct these, as I am updating my website now, and the errors could be carried over....

Ernie - you can also link to CA for the first CD until Sandy gets that page fixed:

But I note that the other files (the new zip file and the first tracks of CD#2) are good at allgalactica.
