Why did the resupply/reinforcemet mission to Atlantis not bring any zats or staff weapons? With the Wraith's ability to regenerate, a zat would be the perfect personal weapon against them. Three shots, no Wraith.

If the writers were/are worried about too much crossing of technology, they should remember that the SGC now has a Jumper.

Hopefully some better weapons are aboard the Dadelus.

Yeah...many fans have commented and wondered about that. But how many Zats and/or staff weapons does the SGC have or can obtain? Even before the uprising, the free Jaffa were having a difficult time obtaining any energy weapon. And many free Jaffa were undercover to some Goa'uld too. Plus now that the Jaffa are free, they will probably try to gather all the weapons (and ships) they can and arm themselves to fight off any Goa'uld that tries to attack them.

The writers of SG:A probably decided not write in or use any Goa'uld weapons. With the Daedalus coming and equipped with Asgard technology and possibly weapons, it opens possiblities to see new weapons in action. Maybe after they install the ZPM, a cache of Ancient weapons are found and used. We've only seen a few Ancient devices and weapons so far. So if/when they go back exploring other planets, they can find technology like SG1 did. Only this time they bring it back and use them.

One nitpick I had in the early episodes, is when Sheppard had the Wraith weapon and used it, why didn't he bring it back so they could make more of them? Or at least find out how they work. Sheppard just tossed it aside after he killed a Wraith with it. In the Siege, even after the first wave and elimination of the Wraith in the city, there should of been a few Wraith weapons laying around that they could use. The Wraith aren't immune to their own weapons and it appears you have to empty a clip into a Wraith to kill one. Time to get efficient and find a weapon/munitions with a "one shot, one kill" ability. The U.S. has armor piercing/exploding bullets. Use that ammo instead. Would leave a big hole in any Wraith.

Remember that Ancient personal shield Rodney used? With all the scientists there, why haven't they studied the device and/or searched the Ancient database to find out more about the device? That monster life form they unleashed would have made a cool weapon too. The Wraith feed on life force and the entity absorbs any power, even from other lifeforms. The Wraith wouldn't stand a chance or at least would not invade the city with that running around loose. Maybe there are a few others like that sealed somewhere. Just drop one inside a Hive ship or on a Wraith planet and have the box open on a timer. Then watch the ensuing hilarity.

The Wraith should have some natural enemy that they can't defeat or are afraid to fight. The Goa'uld had the Asgard, what about the Wraith? It may get boring fast if there isn't a balance of power. It's not believable that they can stop the Wraith time after time with just brains or luck. Say they install the ZPM and raise the shield. Then what? The Wraith can just sit out there and wait until the power supply gives out or attack to drain the power faster. Ahhhh...but the writers say the Wraith woke up too soon. So they are hungry and want Earth to feed upon. Why don't they just go back to sleep? Or will they have to resort to eating their own sooner or later?

:wtf:   :salute: :Nsalute:
